"This is it. If I take one more step, it will be the farthest away from home I've ever been"
Sunday is Pepero Day in Korea. People flock to the corner markets to buy Pepero sticks (thin biscuit sticks dipped in chocolate) and eat them. I'm still not sure why this became a holiday...but boy am I celebrating it.
I am past half-way. My one year South Korean adventure, sometimes referred to as my teaching contract, is mostly done, and just as the summer of my journey here is ending, the weather is also turning cold. Summer is making way for the long cold months. The fall colors in Korea are beautiful. Everyone tells me that autumn is the best time of year in Korea, and I agree with them. I wish you could be here to see some of these places I've been. Pictures are great, but there's nothing quite like actually being in a place. But there is also nothing like experiencing a place than with people you know, so I am missing my people back home.
My teaching load is becoming busier. Next month, the two other teachers I work with are both leaving the academy and going home. The school has decided not to fill their vacancies with new hires, so they are contemplating transferring me to another campus, which means I would have to move apartments. Not something I look forward to.

The weeks are really flying by right now and I feel like soon enough I will be boarding my own flight bound for home in April. Until then, I'll see you all when we get home.
